ATTENTION:
IMPORTANT DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE STANDARD AGCAM AND AGCO AGCAM!
Something very important for us to note is that the AGCO AgCam cameras will feature a different video format. These AgCam’s will function on a PAL video system, rather than the NTSC system, that our standard AgCam’s operate on.
How could these differences affect you?
If you were to input your standard AgCam and an AGCO AgCam into our quad processor, whichever camera was plugged in first will be the operating system that is recognized. The second camera will appear black and white and misshapen with possibly part of the image from the bottom of the picture appearing on the top of the screen, or in some instances, no image at all.
Also, if you were to use your AGCO AgCam with your home television, you tv will only display the image if it is capable of viewing video in PAL mode. Check your television manual for TV capabilities.
We are also aware that there will be cases where a customer will have both a standard AgCam and an AGCO AgCam camera. In these situations, the AGCO AgCam and the standard AgCam cameras can BOTH be used on an AgCam monitor, so long as they are plugged into the separate video inputs. The AgCam monitors have the ability to auto detect each of the individual video channels. But in the example above involving the quad processor, the quad is plugged into only one of the video inputs, therefore that is why the monitor is recognizing only the format – either NTSC or PAL – of the first camera which is hooked up.
